Janet Cutler, Ph.D., CAAB

Dr. Janet Cutler is a Certified Cat Behaviorist at Cat World. She has an MSc and PhD, both specializing in animal behavior and welfare: she earned her Ph.D. in animal behavior from the University of Guelph in 2015 with research on the effect of socialization on the development of behavior problems.

Dr. Cutler is also one of 41 Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) certified by the Animal Behavior Society. CAABs have an advanced graduate degree with an emphasis on animal behavior, plus a minimum of five years of professional experience in applied animal behavior.

Dr. Cutler now runs a cat and dog training company called Landmark Behavior in Canada. She is also an instructor at the Ontario Veterinary College, teaching veterinary students about companion animal behavior and welfare.
